In the grand scheme of contemporary Christian artists you could stick on a marquee together, it's kinda hard
to top Michael W. Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman. The chart-topping, award-garnering duo are teaming up this fall for the United Tour, which will hit the road for a month-long run starting Oct. 9 in Columbus, Ohio. The closest the tour will come to Lexington will be the next night, Oct. 10, when it stops at Cincinnati's Aronoff Center. Most of the stops on the 21-city tour appear to be theaters like the Aronoff which aren't intimate, but will bring the audience closer to the artists than arenas, which Smith and Chapman usually play. The only Kentucky date on the itinerary is Chapman's hometown of Paducah, Oct. 21.
Tickets are already available at Chapman and Smith's fan sites. The tour will benefit Compassion International and Chapman's adoption ministry Shaohannah's Hope.
